I write about gender and power at the intersections of culture and politics, with a focus on gender-based violence, state violence, reproductive rights, and the legal system.
I’m currently a staff reporter at the Abortion, Every Day newsletter, founded by Jessica Valenti. Before that, I worked on staff at Jezebel and Salon. I’m also the author of Survivor Injustice: State-Sanctioned Abuse, Domestic Violence, and the Fight for Bodily Autonomy (2023), which Kirkus called “an astonishingly original, powerfully honest vision for true survivor justice” in a starred review, and Coercion: Surviving and Resisting Abortion Bans, which Publishers Weekly called “clear-eyed and cutting,” also in a starred review.
My fiction has featured in Hobart Pulp, and my first novel is forthcoming in 2026 with AK Press. I host the NYC-based literary reading series RAGEBAIT.
I live in Brooklyn. I love James Harden. You can follow my work and frequent shit-posts on Bluesky, Twitter, Instagram, and Substack.
